Part time jobs

Husband and I have had separate part time jobs since retiring. I have added author and he has dropped all but author. I have questions about how to list two different job types and how to deal with expenses and possibly sales tax from book sales

    The fact that you have a part time job isn't the issue.  Are you actually engaged in an enterprise where you have a profit motive is the question. If there is a profit motive, than you are engaged in a self employed enterprise. This means that each of you will need to keep separate records of income and expenses. You will, indeed have two separate businesses and you will have a schedule C for you and your husband. This will allow you and your spouse to take the expenses that are unique to your business.
