Hi, I'm a digital artist on Patreon. My Patreon is set where my payouts go to my PayPal account. How would I report my Patreon 1099 and my PayPal 1099 (which includes my Patreon earnings as well) ? Do I report both? What is the best way to go about this?

You would not report both, if your PayPal 1099 includes both earnings.  If you do this you will be including the income twice.  You can contact PayPal and ask them to reissue your Form 1099 without the Patreon amounts.  They have done this in the past.

It appears from your post that you are receiving these payments as a business activity. That makes a difference in how you report this income, and address this duplication of payouts.

You can merely claim all the 1099-K income as income for your business activity as self-employment income on Schedule C.  You can then deduct your other ordinary and necessary business expenses to reduce your taxable business income.

You will claim the income from the 2 1099-Ks as self-employment income in TurboTax Self-Employment , Federal, Wages and Income, Self-employment Income:

Once you have created your self-employment activity, you can enter Expenses.  You can enter your PayPal expenses as Commissions as they are paid on all transactions.

If this does not help please feel free to contact us again at TurboTax Community.  You can also click here for information on Turbo Tax Support.  You can connect with a Live Agent and share your screen.
