Can someone tell me what " your return was randomly selected for further review really means is this the beginning of an audit?

Taxing agencies routinely examine a random number of returns to look for compliance. No need to worry if you completed your return accurately and completely. However it will take longer to process your return.

Do you think it'll be done in a reasonable amount of time or are we talking more than 60 days?

There are no published guidelines. The time depends on their staff, the complexity of your return and other unknown factors. But I think (speculate) that under 60 days is a reasonable expectation.
