Received a 1099-MISC for part of income already declared as general income on submitted tax return. Do I need to amend my tax return to account for the 1099-MISC, even though my income, along with refund/taxes owed, did not change after the adjustmen

I received an unexpected 1099-MISC form for a small part of my self-employed income that was already declared/accounted for as "general income" on my submitted tax return. Do I need to amend my tax return to account for the 1099-MISC form, even though my income, along with refund/taxes owed, did not change at all after the documentation adjustment?

I am worried, as I do not want to get taxed twice for the same income, and do not want to get penalized due to a technicality (for not declaring the unexpected 1099-MISC, despite declaring the income on it in another way).

Any help and advice will be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

No.  As long as you reported the income it's ok.  Only the total income goes on Schedule C.  It's not broken out.
