Self Employed Digital Artist- how do I report?

This is my first time doing taxes and I do all of my business through paypal. I made more than $400 and I want to report it, but paypal has not sent me any 1099K forms because during that year I didn't qualify, but I still want to report my earnings. For the type of income, would I just report that as uncommon income? Also since all my business is done through paypal and not the bank, will I be able to upload csv files to prove my earnings?

Your income as digital artist is self-employed income.

You should still report it even if you did not receive a tax form from Paypal. You do not need to upload anything to the IRS to prove your earnings. Just keep your Paypal statements in your tax records.

You report the income you received in cash, checks or bank transfers or without a 1099-NEC as self-employed income under Other self-employed income.

  • In business income, just under Type of Income, click on Add Income for this work
  • On the next page, click on the radio button next to Other Self-employed Income
  • Click Continue to enter your income received in cash, checks or bank transfers.
