Self Employed with income from overseas?

Hello!

I recently began working for a foreign company. They do not issue W2s or 1099s. I am considered self employed.

I'm confused about paying quarterly taxes. Do I need to buy TurboTax for Self Employed 4 times per year? Or does buying it once a year allow me to submit taxes quarterly? Can my husband submit his W2 in January using TurboTax self employed version? Or have I go this all wrong.....

I live in Colorado so I assume I also need to pay State taxes quarterly, correct?

Please help me!

Check out this article: The Self-Employment Tax to get you started.

You can pay your quarterly taxes online through the IRS website and report them in the Self-Employed TurboTax Product during tax time jointly with your husband.

"Colorado income tax is a flat 4.63% of your adjusted federal taxable income. If you expect to owe Colorado more than $1,000 in state taxes, you must pay state estimated tax payments. Estimated payments are made using the Colorado Form 104-EP." You can send a check or money order with the form.
