Statement A - QBI Pass Through Entity Reporting: Requiring an EIN for a shareholder who does not have an EIN. HELP

I am unable to submit our business return, as I am directed to the Statement A - QBI Pass Through Entity Reporting where it asks for each shareholders "EIN", we do not have "EIN's", we have SSN.  I feel as though this form should be asking for a "TIN" so we can enter the appropriate number for each shareholder.  Has anyone else run into this, and how do I enter the correct information.

I have attempted to enter our socials in the designated space but the formatting is wrong.  The next thing it requests is for the shareholder name to be entered but the field won't allow me to input any information.

I did transfer information from last year

If you are willing to experiment, you could try to start an 1120-S from scratch and see if the behavior is the same.

It seems unlikely that the transfer would cause this issue, but it is certainly possible.

You might want to contact Support.

What is the TurboTax phone number? (intuit.com)

In the interim, I will pass this issue along to the moderators.

I called Friday, and although they were very nice we were unable to find a solution.  I was directed to call the IRS at [phone number removed] which I attempted, but there is no apparent extension that would offer the assistance that I need.  I believe this is a mistake on this form, in looking back at 2020 our social was entered on the line in question.

They might have been unable to find a solution as a result of being unable to reproduce the issue.

I have a copy of TurboTax Business and cannot reproduce the issue in a test return. However, the issue could be the result of an artefact from a transfer.

Regardless, you can check Forms Mode and see if you are able to enter an SSN on the Schedule K-1 Worksheet (which should propagate to Statement A).

I have exactly the same issue. I have not tried redoing the taxes from scratch. Hope there is a fix for Turbotax

I had the same issue on my return.  After spending hours trying everything recommended and that I could think of, I ended up deleting the return and completing a new return.  It worked correctly the second time.

I am having the same exact problem.  Form 1120S Statement A - QBI Pass-through Entity Reporting has an error, needs a Shareholder's EIN but its formatted as a Corporate EIN XX-XXXXXXX.  Then if I enter my Corporate EIN it asks for a Shareholder's Name and you can't fill anything into the field.

Please update Turbo Tax and fix this so I can file my return.  I'd rather not try to delete and redo it, I assume upon checking for errors again the same problem will occur.

You might want to follow the instructions in the post (above by @PatriciaV) with respect to reporting a possible bug in the program.
