Better make sure the child is filing as a dependent.  Go to My Info and check the answers.   Check the 2 boxes that they can be claimed and will be claimed as a dependent.

What letters did the parents receive?  from the IRS? What did the letters say?

Hello, the parents received letter 6419 to report that they each received from the 2021 Total Advance Child Tax Credit.  I believe that TurboTax does not need to try to populate form 8812 for a minor who would not have received such a letter, but the form is populated and giving an error message.
