Question

The gross compensation worksheet lists an additional "Misc compensation" despite me only receiving money from one job. how do i fix that?

Are you able to identify the 'misc compensation' by viewing page one of the Federal 1040 tax return?  The 2022 Federal 1040 tax return lists lines 1a through 1z.

 

 

Or, are you able to identify the income by viewing Your Income under Federal and Wage & Income down the left side of the screen?

 

After the income is identified, the income may be removed by deleting if that is appropriate.

 

You are able to remove the form by:

 

  • Down the left side of the screen, click on Tax Tools.
  • Click on Tools.
  • Click on Delete a form.
  • Find the form listed and click Delete to the right.
