Turbotax is labeling us as self employed and we are not self employed

TurboTax Self Employed Online

Do you have any Form 1099s issued to you since that depending on the reason why it was issued can be considered self-employment income. For example , if you did any side gigs or any freelance work, that is considered self-employment income.

If you have not paid for the online edition you are using, have not filed your tax return or registered the Free edition, then you can clear your return and start over with a lower priced edition. Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the program screen while working on the 2020 online tax return. Click on Clear & Start Over.
