TurboTax version

Hello,

I need some help here.
I just bought a desktop TurboTax 2021 Basic version.
I was told by the support person that TurboTax 2021 is for filing 2020 taxes.
But when I started using it, I see questions about year 2021.
 
Did I buy a wrong version?

    Each tax year is a separate TurboTax program.

     

    To complete and file a 2020 tax return using TurboTax you would need to purchase, download and install on a personal computer one of the 2020 desktop editions from this website - https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/past-years-products/

     

    A 2020 tax return can only be printed and mailed, it cannot be e-filed.

      Sorry, no.  You can request a refund of the 2021 software you purchased from TurboTax.
