Question

We were given untaxed moving expenses listed on a 1099-MISC. In the review process, I have to select the form on which to report the income: 4835, Sch C, or Sch F?

This is for a regular W-2 job, not a business.

Here's how to enter a 1099-Misc received for Moving Expenses:

Enter the 1099-Misc in the Other Common Income section (Enter "1099-misc" in the Search Box and Select "Jump to 1099misc")
Indicate that it is a "Reimbursement for Moving Expense", (choose 'None of these' for 'Uncommon Situations'),
On the next screen, indicate that it does not involve work like your main job, and then that it is not a recurring payment
On the next screen, indicate that it did not involve an intent to make money
The income will be reported as Other Income on your return.
