I itemized but they told me my standard deduction was far greated so I took that.  What do they want on this page???  Nothing highlighted but it does say this at the top "Schedule A, misc, type must be entered.  I don't know what type they are looking for.

You may have a description for a miscellaneous itemized deduction in your Deductions & Credits section of TurboTax which carried over to your Schedule A.   You need to review your Deductions & Credits entries to determine whether you entered a deduction as a miscellaneous expense.  With a few exceptions, miscellaneous itemized deductions are no longer deductible.

Another option is to delete Schedule A given that TurboTax compared your itemized deductions to your standard deduction and the numbers favor the standard deduction.  Thus, your Schedule A does not appear relevant at this point.  Here are the steps to follow to delete Schedule A .

  1. Open or continue your return in TurboTax.
  2. In the left menu, select Tax Tools and then Tools.
  3. In the pop-up window Tool Center, choose Delete a form.
  4. Select Delete next to the form/schedule/worksheet in the list and follow the instructions.

Here is a link to a TurboTax article that discusses how to view and delete forms which you might find helpful.
