Question

Which form do I use to pay estimated taxes with an EIN?

I've been freelancing for almost a decade. Over that time, I always used my SSN and paid estimated taxes with the 1040 form.

My situation changed recently. Now I have an EIN (Sole Proprietor). Can I still pay estimated taxes with the 1040 form? Or do I need to use a different form ?

Your EIN is associated with your SSN so you can continue to use the Form 1040-ES or you can use the payment methods available on the IRS payment website - https://www.irs.gov/payments
