Why can't I enter expenses for self employed income (Uber and Doordash)? When i press "Add expenses for this work", it just refreshes the web page and doesn't advance.

It may be that you're entering the info in the wrong place.  Delete the information you have entered for the income already and then re-enter the income as self-employed income specifically.

To do this please follow these steps:

1. Within your tax return click Income & Expenses at the top of the screen
2. Click Edit for the section where you have already added the income
3. Use the Trash Can Icon to delete the income entry and Confirm it
4. use the magnifying glass at the top of the page and search "self employed income" using this exact phrase (no hyphen)
5. Click the Jump to link and reenter your income and then add your deductible business expenses
