If you are answering Yes to "XXX stopped work in 2021" then TurboTax is looking for the information for the activities before you terminated your self-employment as well as the details regarding stopping the business. The system needs to know if you sold all or part of the business or if you just converted any assets or inventory to personal use.
If you stopped your business in 2020 or 1/1/21 and did not sell the business or the assets, you need to delete the Self-employment forms.
To delete, please follow the instructions below:
Within your return in TurboTax Online search for Schedule C.
Click the Jump to link in the search results.
If you get to a self-employment summary screen, delete the self-employment income line with the trash can icon.
If you get to the question Did you have any self-employment income or expenses? answer No.
Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the screen.
Click on Delete a Form.
Scroll down to your Schedule C and Schedule SE and click Delete if they are still there.
Also, see Closing a Business to be sure you've done everything you need to close your business.
