Are home expenses for small home business portion calculations monthly or annual?

Specifically, I'm being guided through the process to calculate what portion of home expenses I can claim for my home based business. The 'enter the total amounts for your home' part doesn't state if it's per month, week, year etc.

    It’s the total amount that you have paid for the year, or at least the part of the year that you were using your home for business purposes.

      Perfect thank you!! So since for 2022 my business was only open 2.5 months than it is the total for that time. Got it!
