Can I use standard turbo tax for one spouse and premier for the other or does it has to be the same software?

wife has simple return while the husband has a profit sharing (T4PS) that doesn't support the standard Turbo tax software

If you prepare your return together with your spouse, then you will both will be using the same version of the program, and you will both be charged the same price. You can only prepare your returns in different products if you prepare your returns separately.
