Expenses such as phones, internet and utilities. To deduct your cell phone as a business expense, note your costs on Form T2125, Statement of Business and Professional Activities. This form helps you calculate your net business income. If you use your cell phone for both personal and business use, you can only claim a portion of its cost as a business expense.

Follow these steps below to enter the business expenses:

    1. Login to TurboTax Online

    2. In the left side of your return, click on "Find" icon

    3. Enter Business or Professional Activities, click Go

    4. Click on Business Expenses in the list of Self-Employment income and expenses.

    5. Press Continue to skip the Expenses until you reach at "Did you pay for utilities for a business property?"

    6. Enter the amount for all your utilities including cell phone in the amount box.

    7. Then, click Continue.
