How to I add tools purchased as an expense? I did handy work.

    What kind of tools are these? Tools costing $500 or more would be recognized as capital under Class 8 in Capital Cost Allowance (CCA). Smaller tools costing less than $500, with a limited life, are expensed as supplies or as other expenses.
