Preparing several family member returns. Is the fee for upgrading software per return?

    Yes. If you are using TurboTax Online, you pay based on what you enter on your return. So, if you enter information that requires your return to be upgraded, then you would have to pay for the upgrade before filing. 

     

    The same thing goes if you add Assist & Review or the Premium Pack.
