Question

We moved for work in 2019 and claimed the moving expenses for that year.Our 2nd vehicle wasn't moved until the 2020 calender year.Can I claim this as a moving expense?

If so, how do I go about doing this? Moving expenses carried forward?

    Thank you for your question. Yes, you can claim it as a moving expense.

     As per the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) Can you claim moving expenses? If your moving expenses were paid in a year after the year of your move, you can claim them on your return for the year you paid them against employment or self-employment income earned at the new work location.
