Question

I have a t3 for investment income and turbotax keeps saying I’m self employed and asks for a business name and address???

Do you have an amount in Box 24? The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) considers amounts in Box 24 of the T3 as business income and those amounts are transferred over to Line 135 of the T1 General Tax Return. So, you must fill out the Self-Employment section even though you do not have a business. You can use your own information, and you only need to fill out the required information.
