As a self employed person on a work related education course, can I claim grocery store receipt since my accomodation had a kitchen?

    You might be able to. If the course you took was to maintain, update or upgrade an already existing skill or qualification that you already had, then you may be able to claim 50% of your meal expenses.

     

    It would be a good idea to contact the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) and check with them. If you are in Canada or the United States, you can call the CRA at 1-800-959-8281.
