Question

I have tuition credits from my kids and completed the turbo tax steps, but why does it show 0 in the "your dependents qualified you for tax credits?'

    In order to assist you properly, can you tell us which version of TurboTax you are using, Online or Desktop?

     

    Tuition transfer is a non-refundable credit and will help you reduce the amount owing. But, only the portion not used by the student can be transfer, and it needs to be on current tax year tuition. So, it is important to start with the student return.

     

    Depending on the software you used, the steps are different.
