1099-R requires a state number on box 15. How do I find the state number for Utah/. Better yet. What is the state number for Utah?

Shouldn't state numbers just be a number from 1 to 51? Dah? Why do we need 14 digits?

If there are not any state taxes withheld in box 14 of the Form 1099-R then leave boxes 14, 15 and 16 blank (empty)

Unless there is a state number entered (14 digits) the turbotax program will not let me proceed.

If you leave boxes 14, 15 and 16 blank on the Form 1099-R and you are still receiving an error, the delete the form 1099-R and re-enter manually.
