Thank you for the prompt response, so what does this mean then? Did Oregon State refund me correctly or incorrectly?
They changed my form line 32 like you said, from $16,048 to $11,210. And significantly reduce the amount of tax refund. Are you saying I should contact them and appeal? Or are you saying they did it right to correct me?
You need to locate the form 1099-INT that you had for 2024 that showed $128.80 in interest on it. In box 17 of that form the system shows $4,838. That is almost certainly incorrect. So either there was an error when the form was imported into TurboTax or an accidental error when you typed it in. But in your case the Oregon taxing authority says that they didn't get that money.
You need to pull out that form and check that box. If there is an amount there then you need to send a copy of that form to Oregon. If there is no amount in box 17 then they corrected your return to the proper amount.
