California resident software download for Oregon residents who earned monery in Callifornia.

Turbotax downloaded resident California software although both my wife and I are Oregon residents, temporarily receiving mail at our in-laws home in California. My wife earned money in California. Could be that TurboTax weighed my "Mailing Address" answer instead of the Residency answer.

How should I recover from this?

I'd like to replace the downloaded Calfornia Resident software with California Non-Resident.

Are there configuration options to make this transformation?

After deciding to file my Federal and Oregon taxes, abandoning for now my California taxes, I was directed to the forms page to delete the CA data. However, there I noticed that there was indeed a California non-resident form already filled out.

The issue was that TurboTax wasn't asking me to specifiy how much income came while in California, so I assumed the software was a version for residents.

After shutting down TurnboTax and restarting, it was updated by a version whih did ask me for this detail.

Now another problem has surfaced.

When asking TurboTax to review the CA data, it tells me the data isn't yet complete.

After going through the entire process several times, it still says the information is incomplete.

I wish TurboTax would tell me what data is missing!

What screen has the message, and what is the wording?
What version of TurboTax are you using?
