Can I file New York State tax form IT-237 via TurboTax? If so, how/where?

Form IT-237 is not supported in TurboTax. You will have to fill it out separately (the form is located here) and mail it in with your NYS return. In addition, you will have to use TurboTax Desktop and override amounts on your NYS return. You do not have this ability in TurboTax Online. To override the amounts manually, please follow this instructions:

1. Calculate your credit amount on the IT-237 form.
2. Open your state return in TurboTax Desktop.
3. Go into Forms mode (upper right corner of the program). 
4. Go into your IT-201, Line 71 and click on the magnifying glass to get to IT-201 ATT worksheet.
5. Go to Line 4 (Section B) of your IT-201 ATT worksheet. Right click and choose override. Then, enter the credit amount as calculated in Step #1.
6. In your list of Forms, click on IT-201-ATT and note Line 6, Section B. This amount flows to your IT-201, Line 42.  
7. File by mail using instructions here. Attach the IT-237 you prepared in Step#1 to your return before you mail to NYS.
