Deductions that happened in Texas are increasing my Oregon state return but not sure if this is correct?

I'm in the process working on family taxes for 2024. We moved to Oregon around June 2024. That said, we have many deductions from Texas such as private school, goodwill, child care etc.. While I'm putting in these deductions I notice that the Oregon state tax increases each time I submit a new amount. There is no state tax in Texas but I was not sure if this is correct behavior? When I did my Texas tax since it was only Federal return any deductions all went to Federal.

Where are you entering these deductions on the federal return? Goodwill?

What you need to do is look at your Oregon return and see if the Oregon taxable income increases at the same time as the federal taxable income decreases. Then, if you see them moving in the opposite direction from each other come back and tell us and ask us why.
