Do I have to report tax exempt interest dividend from a mutual fund state by state if I only have 1k of it earned and I live in a state with no income tax, WA state?

    If you haven't moved, your tax-exempt interest income from a mutual fund is allocated to your resident state. Since you live in Washington state, which has no income tax, you don't need to report this income state by state.
