Question

Does the PA tax module not yet fully support REV-1630?

I have entered all of the required data, including quarterly income amounts.  It completes REV-1630, through Exception 2 Worksheet, Line A, with those quarterly amounts, and then just stops.   It doesn't do the rate or 90% multiplication, doesn't do the comparison to line 11 and X the appropriate quarters, and calculates a tax penalty as if I had met none of the required payment amounts.

The result is a penalty more than triple what it should be. It also does not recognize manual entries of the amounts, X's, etc.

Is this something that will be fixed?  My Federal Smart Check points out three forms on which I am waiting, but the State Smart Check says everything is good.  It is not.

The program pulls data from various forms to calculate your taxes. Federal begins filing Jan 27, 2025 and PA is scheduled to accept returns then as well. The federal and state agencies are working hard until that time to get things ready. We can't finalize our product until after they finish. Once things are complete, smart check will have more forms to pick up and analyze for your return to be correct.
