I sold my dodge coin on Robinhood. I live in Texas but make income in Oklahoma too. It’s forcing me to file 511 non resident form. And asking to indicate when a property was sold and type, etc. I did not sell any property! It already made me pay for the service, so I can’t even take this to another provider. Someone help me figure this out.

Turbotax, you lost a customer of many years today.

If you earned income in OK , you need to file OK non-resident return to report that income.

Make sure to answer Yes to the question in the personal info section on the federal return  Did you make money in any other states? and make sure OK state is selected from the drop-down.

How do I file a nonresident state return?

Oklahoma Nonresidents  are required to file if they received $1,000 or more Oklahoma-source gross income, which includes:

Salaries, wages, and commissions for work performed in Oklahoma.

• Income from an unincorporated business, profession, enterprise, or other activity as the result of work done, services rendered, or other business activities conducted in Oklahoma.

• Net rents and royalties from real and tangible personal property located in Oklahoma.

• Gains from the sales or exchanges of real and tangible personal property located in Oklahoma.

• Income received from all sources of wagering, games of chance, or any other winnings from sources within this state.

As a nonresident, the sale of coin is not taxable on your OK return.
