Question

How do I force MFS state. I live/work in AZ my wife live/work in OR. Turbo tax refuses to allow MFJ federal and MFS with state. Called TT multiple times - no help.

    If you want to file separate state returns, you must first create a "mock" federal separate return for Oregon and Arizona.  Note that Arizona is a community property state so you must make sure you allocate the income corresctly.  To file the separate state returns, see How do I prepare a joint federal return and separate state?
