How to add tax exemption when filing for Massachusetts tax returns?
I am on F1 visa but I'm considered a resident for tax purposes (been in the US for more than 5 years). I have income reported on 1042-S and it's exempt by a Federal tax treaty. I was able to account for that in the Federal tax returns, but Turbotax is including it as taxable income in the Massachusetts state tax returns. When I filed with Sprintax, it was exempted, but I can't find an option to add tax exemption in Turbotax.
