I am a first time renter in WI but my residency is CA.How to Correctly Allocate Income in TurboTax

    Did you live in WI and CA during 2024?   Or did you work in both states?     Can you provide some details, so states allow a rent deduction, but there is no rent credit on the federal return.  

     

    Do I have to file tax returns in more than one state?

     

    Why would I have to file a nonresident state return?
