I am stuck in a loop with NY State Tax Return (2024)

I recommend going through each state interview screen again and reviewing your input.  There may be a box that needs to be checked or an amount that needs to be entered or confirmed.  

If you are using the desktop program, you can also try to update your program and see if that resolves the error or loads the latest update to help you see exactly what needs to be reviewed.

If you are using Windows, an update can be done by logging into your desktop product.  Select Online in the menu on the top, and then select Check for Updates.

If that does not update your program, you can also manually update your Windows program.

If you are using a Mac, follow the steps in this link to make sure your program is up to date.

If that does not work, you can also use these steps to manually update your Mac program.
