I am trying to fill out my Illinois tax return, and I know I qualify for the property tax credit. However, Turbotax informs me I do not qualify. Help?

I enter the amount of property tax I paid on my primary residence in which I lived all year, but Turbotax tells me I get $0 credit.

    First, make sure that you entered the real estate property taxes you paid on your primary residence, in your federal return. ‌This'll go in the Deductions and credits under the Property (Real Estate) Taxes section.  TurboTax will transfer that information to your state return.  

     

    In your state return the Illinois Property tax credit can be found under Credits and taxes under the Illinois State tax return. Make sure that you go through all the questions carefully, and enter all the necessary information.  See the images below for your reference:
