Question

I have a lease for solar panels. Should I include the amount I paid for the solar panels in my annual income?

    The payments you make for leased solar panels are generally not considered income and do not need to be included on your tax return. However, you also cannot claim the tax credit for the installation since you do not own the solar panels.
