Question

I moved out of state the mid 2022 and haven't worked in the states since I didn't know I still needed to file so I didn't for 2023

Do I need to file now or just call them to see.

    If you moved out of the state permanently and did not work in the state in 2023,  you do not need to file a "final" return or let the state know.  

     

    Each state has its own laws- for example, Ohio has a  IT NRS – Ohio Nonresident Statement, but it is one of the only states that you have to inform you are leaving.
