I saw that Georgia residents that "were affected by Hurricane Helene" have until 5/1/25 to file. Just wondering if all GA residents automatically get that? Or just some?

Wondering if all GA residents automatically get the extension or if it only applies to those truly affected by the hurricane? Like those who received FEMA assistance for example?

You must be in one of the affected counties to get the automatic relief. You only have to be in a zip code that qualifies for relief, you do not necessarily have to show you were directly affected with proof. Not all of Georgia was in a federally declared disaster area.
