If I was a part time resident in Illinois can I prorate the use tax on my Illinois return?

The Illinois use tax is the tax on items you used or brought into Illinois without paying enough sales tax. Therefore for the period you were not resident in Illinois you would not include items purchased during that time in the Illinois use tax calculation in the Illinois state interview.
