In Sept 2024, I moved from RI to FL. I use Turbotax premier download for Windows. Does the 2024 version have RI partial year form?

The software for a state tax return is not included in the federal download product. The state software has to be downloaded separately from within the federal program after you install it. TurboTax Premier includes one state download at no additional charge. Since Florida has no personal state income tax, Rhode Island is the only state you will need.

A part-year resident of Rhode Island has to file Form RI-1040NR. That form is included in the TurboTax state software for Rhode Island.

The Rhode Island state software is currently expected to be available January 16. That date could change.

And.....when you are preparing your return, make sure to pay attention to this

Florida does not have a state income tax. You should skip the FL tax unless you own rental property in FL or a FL based business.

If you do not have tangible personal property to report, choose Skip State in the State Taxes section.
