Inherited Non Qualified Distribution - PA

In 2017, my husband inherited a non qualified plan from his aunt who lived in Arizona.  We live in PA.  I am trying to finish up our taxes and am being asked to provide the basis of the retirement income.  I do not remember ever having to provide this information in the past.  I looked at the PA Dept of Revenue site which did not help, and the TurboTax explanation but just cannot seem to figure it out.  Help!!!

Thank you!

If that information is not reported on the Form 1099-R or supplemental information included with the form, it is something you would have to get from whoever is paying the benefit.
