I live in NH, worked in NH until May. I then started a job in Maine. My tax return for Maine includes the income from NH based on the accountant. Is this correct?

If you live in NH and are filing a Maine Non-Resident return, then only the income from Maine should be included on your Maine return.  In general, your resident state taxes ALL income from ALL sources worldwide.  Since NH does not have income tax, the only state taxes you should be paying are on the income from Maine to Maine.

Thanks! When filling out the tax form for Maine. It asks for the federal income. This number includes all income vs just Maine.

Yes, the federal income is all income.
