Question

My family trust paid taxes in our nonresident state. i entered the income on that state's form, but cannot find where to enter the taxes already paid. Can someone help?

Can you help me find where to enter taxes already paid to non resident state?

    Follow these steps:

    1. Open to the federal section, 
    2. Deductions and credits. You may need to select See all tax breaks
    3. Locate estimates and other taxes paid.
    4. Select Other income taxes
    5. Locate other taxes paid in 2024
    6. Select withholding not already entered on a w2 or 1099
    7. Select yes
    8. Enter the state and the withholding amount
    9. Done
