Question

My Indiana return is failing review/check because it thinks my spouse had principal employment income, but while we lived in Indiana he was unemployed. How do I fix it?

We are filing an Indiana part time resident state return. My husband worked in 2024, but only while we lived in Arkansas. When I use turbo tax to check my Indiana return it keeps telling me I need to fix my husbands Indiana Principal Employment Income on Sch CT-40PNR. It says it needs a positive value since spouse had principal work in Indiana, but he didn't work in Indiana. I have deleted and restarted the Indiana return from scratch but there is no place to state he didn't have Principal Employment Income in Indiana unless I mark we both had zero income. But I did have income in Indiana, so I am at a loss for what to do.

Within the Indiana part-year income tax return, review the entries made at the screen Your Indiana Wages.

There is a screen for the taxpayer and a screen for the spouse, but who each screen is referring to could be confusing.
