Prior Tax Errors by Turbo Tax

I'm in desperate need of help. My taxes were audited, and though I don't have the protection I should be able to download my tax return and send in for proof that I have filed. My 2018 MO tax return was filed on the 2017 form by Turbo Tax. I have been trying to get help, but cannot get anyone on the phone to help me. This is not my fault and I don't think I should have to pay $900 for Turbo Tax to fix their mistake.

Does anyone have a way to contact someone to correct this mistake? I got someone on the phone once, and now when I finally get through, they hang up on me. I don't understand what is going on.

TurboTax has a special phone number for help with tax letters. Click on the blue button that says "Get help from TurboTax support" after you click here.

Yes, I reached out to them, but they said they will only help me if I pay a $900 fee. Which is insane. I'm not willing to pay $900 for a mistake I didn't make.

You can't blame anyone but yourself for that.

You have to file on the 2018 forms.

Using 2017 forms means you have not yet filed your 2018 state return.

Tell MO that you are going to file 2018 on the 2018 form.

UPDATE: I had to contact the BBB and file a complaint. This was taken care of this morning by Turbo Tax & they fixed the documentation. Thank you to Ms. Michele!

As far as TaxResources Tax Audit Defense Customer Service Department, they have not responded or explained the processing fee required.

Anyone who has their state taxes filed incorrectly by Turbo Tax, it appears you should just go to the BBB and you will immediately receive help. I hate that this is the case, but you deserve to be heard & have what you've paid for completed correctly. Turbo Tax, please do better.
