Save State tax as forms not computer scan page

On my Virginia state tax, I can switch to forms and see the completed tax forms.

However, when I save to PDF they save as some kind of computer form not the state tax forms.

How do I save a copy of the completed state tax forms the same way as I save the Federal tax forms after I have completed them?

Some states do have an official tax form that looks like a computer form. You want the actual form. When you select to print the page with the form, does this still happen? If I do a print preview, I still see the tax form. Once you can see the form you want, you can select to save the copy.

The state is Virginia.  The have normal tax forms starting with the 760.  Schedule 2 and the worksheets are forms too.  Like I said in my initial question, I can switch to forms from step by step and see the forms.  No matter what I do I can only save to PDF the computer scan looking thing for filing.  I would like to save the completed forms to PDF.

How can I save the completed state tax forms to PDF?

Do you understand the question now?  I ask as you did exactly what I did attempting to save the completed tax forms to PDF.  As if I am incapable of reading or using the software.

    Thanks.

I recommend making sure your software is updated as well.  The program is updated weekly and it's possible that your version does not have the latest updates loaded.

This can be done by logging into your desktop product.  Select Online in the menu on the top, and then select Check for Updates.

If that does not update your program, you can also manually update your program.

After making sure your program is updated, you can then use the option within TurboTax Desktop to preview the forms from the file menu.  To do this, select File, Print, and on the pop up screen titled "Form Selection", select Forms to review or keep for your records and select 2024 Virginia Tax Return.  Then, select Preview Print Copy.  This will open your return in another window where you can save them as a pdf.

I myself and many other users have told you specifically that it makes no difference before or after update.

It is a bug in your program.

The state tax forms do not save as the forms.  Only as a computer scan page.
