Is TurboTax adjusting for the state of Kansas not taxing Social Security benefits when you file your state taxes?

    Information flows from your federal return to the state return.  The software uses your state's tax laws to calculate your state refund or state tax due.   TurboTax's software knows which states tax Social Security and which do not.

     

     

    States that tax Social Security benefits:

    CO, CT,  MN, MT, NM, RI, UT, VT, WV
